The second widget type is called web widgets. Instead of being application, these widgets are code that can be placed online. The code is used to embed the widget into the website to make it accessible to yourself or your viewers. Web widgets are most common used on websites, such as personal or business websites, blogs, personalized start pages and social networking sites.
